THE CBMU encourages support of the marine insurance community in Canada by its members and non members. Such support may be by the sharing of information on the CBMU web site and / or by the presentation of educational opportunities to marine insurance professionals in Canada.

The CBMU will promote industry specific events by posting on the CBMU website when:

  • The session is mounted by a CBMU committee;
  • The session is offered by a related not for profit industry association;

The CBMU will not promote events that are:

  • Designed to promote the services of the company [presenting the event];
  • Offered by non-members.

The CBMU will accept advertising on its web site from members and non members, subject to the following terms:

  • The advertisement must be submitted for review in advance to ensure that the content does not conflict with CBMU position statements and/or that events do not compete with CBMU events;
  • It will be made clear that the subject of the advertising is not CBMU endorsed;
  • A fee will apply and the payment terms will be confirmed prior to posting of the advertisement.
